My mom bought her 2009 Toyota Corolla new in the summer of 2008. It didn't take long for the rattling noises to start everywhere ranging from the back rear window area (which at one point scared the crap out of us, it did it only once but it sounded like the rear window was going to cave in), the front around the dashboard where the radio console is to the most predominant noise coming from the front passenger side window panel (like the place in between the front passenger window and back window, where the seat belt comes from). It is so annoying, every time I'm in the car with her I put my arm up and put pressure on it with my elbow b/c the noise seems to stop every time I put pressure on the panel. We took it to the Toyota dealer she got the car from, but they essentially told her she was hearing things. Please if anyone has any suggestions as to what it might be please share, it's so annoying to have that noise(s) right in our ears every time we get in the car.
