...differential? The rattle happens when I start rolling in forward or reverse and continues until I reach a cruising speed around 35 mph and then I can hear it when I hit bumps in the road. I had the front axles replaced a couple of days ago and a week before that I put in struts and shocks. I noticed the noise after the struts where done, I pulled the axle out of the tranny by mistake and tried to or thought I re-seated it properly. I checked the ball joints and tie-rods all are fine. I can hear the noise coming from the transmission when I grab the front driver's side wheel and rotate it forwards and backwards, seems to be a lot of play when changing directions.
