I'm doing a mock congress in school and I was wondering if you all would help me out with a question. My argument is as follows. The rated R movie restrictions state that no person under the age of 17 should be allowed to view the movie without parent/guardian suppervision or consent. This means that your parent/guardian would have to physically come with you to consent or view it with you. Phone calls/written consent isnt allowed. I agree all up until the age requirement. I think they should lower this to the age of 16 and this is my reason. I dont understand why a person who in most states can legally drive at the age of 16 isnt allowed to simply VIEW a movie. Driving is a much greater responsiblity. so what is everyones views on this? would you consent to this "bill?" thanks to anyone replys :)

true, im 16 and i have my drivers lisence, and i have to get my sister in law to come to get me and my freinds into the movie, it should be lower'd to 16, it would help us alot, and what is 1 year going to change? people in America that are 16 now basically kno everything dont we?
