Hello All,
As many of you know, I have a condition called Spondylolisthesis. I first noticed bad pain about 6 months ago, nearing 7 months. I have no idea how this occurred, just that one day I noticed pain. My pain has progressed pretty rapidly over the last 6 months. My most recent imaging study (MRI) was a month ago. I am wondering if it is possible for my vertebrae slippage to have increased more since then, because my pain has. I have a 14 month old, and although she is walking and has been for a couple of months, she still requires a lot of lifting and chasing. I also am in the my car driving for several hours a day for my job (I visit 4-5 accounts every day). The care has always irritated my pain. So I suppose it is possible that my slippage has increased, but I really don't know what the normal time line for this is.
I know my lifestyle isn't good for my condition, but I really have no choice. My husband and I work opposite hours (he is a retail manager and works afternoons and evenings). I ask for help in the evenings whenever I can from my family. I also can't take a leave of absence from work. I have only been with my company for 7 months, and I am not elligible for short term disability until April. Plus I would rather save it for surgery.
Do you think it is possible? Should I ask for another x-ray? My follow up appointment is in 5 days, and not a moment too soon, so any input would be appreciated!
