Sorry, but it's not fully the raptor's fault but rider skill.
As Reed said changing the exhaust will improve power out-put but you need to know how to use that extra power.
My best advise is to practice, practice, and practice some more. You need confidence in your ability to go faster, pure and simple.
Or find slower riding buds!

There is light at the end of the tunnel, trust me, and trust your gut on the speed you wish to achieve.
 
i have an 05 raptor 350 all stock and im having some trouble keeping up, im riding with a stock 400ex, decked out 400ex, rm25, wr250x, trx450r, and some others, i know im not going to beat them but im pretty much getting dusted everywhere and am stuck with my quad so dont say get a new one. i'm looking for pretty basic advice on how to upgrade without going too far in the motor and with only being 16, on a semi-low budget
