...effects, anyone agree? A rap song's story is always ether about screwing women, beating them, killing cops, or doing drugs. It's a violent culture and "type" of sound.
It takes absoulutely no skill to make a rap. There is skill in rapping on the spot I will admit though.
Talent means having a good voice, maybe being able to read/ write sheet music, and being able to perform live and sound just the same as on a recorded CD.
Now Andrea Bocelli has talent.
Anyone disagree and want to prove me why? I welcome you.
I am going to admit, there are a few rap songs I like. Mostly because they are funny. I don't hate rap, I just think people think too highly of something that takes no skill.
You could say the same about any music today almost, with Autotune and all of the computerizations.
What happened to when music was pure talent, skill, hard work, and simple art?
I think A LOT of people only like rap because they just go with the flow. They call themselves special and different (the same goes for emo people), but as a group, they all look the same.
Rap is a fad that will pass in given time
