All, right, out of the Big Five, the studios that produced most US TV animation from the 60's throughout the 90's, how you you rank them?
For me, Nelvana would be first, primarily because they produced the largest amount of cartoons that I'd consider to be above par or respectable, even if they are mostly adaptations; They did the Sam and Max cartoon, the Beetlejuice cartoon, the Tintin cartoon, Eek! the Cat, Stickin' Around, and even had a go at theatrical animation with Rock and Rule. The Backyardigans is also pretty good as far as preschool animation goes as well.
Next would be Hanna-Barbera, but primarily for their earliest shows (Huckleberry Hound, the first Yogi Bears, the first couple of seasons of the Flintstones, The Jetsons, Top Cat., etc.) and the shows they did after Turner bought them out and Fred Seibert took over things (i.e. Two Stupid Dogs, the World Premiere Toons and their spinoffs). Basically avoid most of the later 60's, 70's and 80's.
I guess the others would be DIC, Ruby Spears and Filmation in that order.
