I'm a 28 year old MALE. For the past several weeks I've been getting random fits of nausea and gagging, usually when I first wake up, eat anything whatsoever, or smoke. I never actually vomit more than a little tiny bit of bile, but as you can imagine it's hindering my life quite a bit. Sometimes when I'm doing nothing more than walking down the street I have to stop to bend over and let the fit pass. I have absolutely no pain whatsoever, so I feel fairly comfortable ruling out ulcers, cancers or diabetes, (though I imagine the doctor I'm going to see tomorrow won't).
It's not due to a change in diet since that was constant when it started, but I did start making a concentrated effort to eat better the last few weeks, but it's only gotten worse. It affects me at sea level and altitude, in the sun and snow, etc etc etc.
At any rate, I live a pretty unhealthy lifestyle (smoking, limited exercise, lots of soda... no alcohol) So even without a doctor this is a pretty big message to clean up my act. I don't really need lectures at this point since it seems as though my body is doing that for me.
I'm mostly interested in whether this has happened to any other men (so it's obviously not m/s) and what the diagnosis was... Once again, random waves of gagging and nausea, no pain whatsoever.
