I have a 1997 Park Ave. that has a misfire. I replaced the spark plug wires (because they were getting bad anyway) hoping that was the problem but it still misfires. The first time it was running like this I went to Auto-zone and they said misfire in cylinder 3. But just recently it's gotten worse and I went to Auto-zone again and it said random misfire and something with the O2 sensor. The car has also been getting worse mileage and the engine has less power (it chugs when you push on the gas to go) so I thought that the spark plug wires were giving the wrong level signals to the O2 sensor, thus the worse mileage and stuff, but apparently that wasn't the problem because it still misfires.
Does anyone have any idea what the real problem might be?
