if I put you in a coma we'd live in a far better and superior society.

you saying that would be ok for me to do?

If they somehow made it so only white folks were able to view it or barred minorities from working at the network, you would have a point.

civil rights. Now he is all for them.

Gee I wonder why the sudden change of position?

Keep in mind his racist comments were made a month ago. If he really is some "born again non-racist," I wonder why he only made the switch when his election bid is in jeopardy?

i seriously doubt that there is an explicit policy forbidding someone of a different skin tone on BET. this doesn't mean that norms do not exist

I don't think he is racist. He does not feel that government should force private entities and persons to cater to everyone if they don't want to. That is not racist. It is absolutely bat shit insane in any civilized society but it is not racists.

The apple did not fall far from the tree.

Yes, he did.

A spokesman for Rand Paul just clarified to me that the candidate does, in fact, believe that the Federal government should have the power to ban private businesses from discriminating based on race.
Paul had earlier claimed he didn't support that role for the Federal government, sparking a raging controversy.

Just out of curiousity, can you explain how his position is unconstitutional? In your own words, please.

I never said his position was constitutional or unconstitutional. I think he makes a valid point on strictly philosophical grounds. But I don't think it is practical. To base the rules on society on just the strictest and narrowest of interpretations of a 200+ year document and ignore the issues that have evolved as society has evolved is not very healthy. Going by Paul's rationale, one could also make the argument that federal laws against on line baby pornography are equally unconstitutional.

Many believe and live by the bible, but very few gouge out their own eyes when the are deceived by them and stone people to death for laboring on the sabbath.

a spokesman clarified to you?

I'm reading a story written today.

BUT, I have yet to see where he said anything like "the candidate does, in fact, believe that the Federal government should have the power to ban private businesses from discriminating based on race."

link?

How about whether gays can work in the Boy Scouts?

Or gays openly serve in the military?

Or men play in an all girls sports league?

I also believe there are some all black groups that don't have to allow whites.

There is a long list of groups that discriminate with government blessing.
