salaam alaikum
I have been a convert for about 3 years masha'Allah and have not had access to Quran lessons/tajweed etc. Insha'Allah I will start it next year when I move away.
Anyway, I still want to attempt to memorise surahs - like sometimes the urge comes to me strongly. But I heard it is haram to say the words of the Quran wrong, even if it is unintentionally. So should I lay off reading it in arabic and trying to memorise... or give it a go anyway? and hopefully correct myself after I learn the proper rules..?
