then where in the Quran does it say why some are not? What are people doing wrong to not be successful.

I was asked to write a paper on how a Muslim can be successful and I want facts from Quran to back it up.

Thanks

Salam Alaikum
@Ankaboot - Yes I know that every page talks about this but Im looking for one or two surahs that will really stand out on how a person can be successful according to Allahs design. I was asked to write this for youths on how they can be successful in life, I need to start it out with Allahs word and Im having a hard time finding the right surah. One that will really stand out. I have found something nice in the Hadith but I need a Quranic verse. Thanks though for what u posted, I will use some of it.
@Jihad - No offense taken but I guess I worded that wrong, what I meant was - man cannot live as he chooses and then expect Allah to reward him for his sins. Allah has guidelines for man to live by, yes we make mistakes, that is why we ask forgivness but what if man doesnt even bother to follow Allahs guidelines knowing they are there, what negative effects can take place by doing so. His guidelines are there for a purpose, yes our first and only purpose is to worship him alone but Allahs word is true, he cannot go against it so if man goes against what Allah has already said, what will be the results in doing so. Allah cannot bless sin and if man constantly lives in sin then could he be successful? Im looking for verses along this line.
