Radio thats in trunk of Ford Taurus 05?

ok i went to best buy brought the kit to install an aftermarket cd player in my taurus the guy was explaining it to me he says that the radio in the dash is not the real radio i have to run wires to the trunk of the car and hook it up to this other thing well me not looking before i ran the wires now im stuck and i have no idea where this other radio is someone please help me!
 
If you have a multi-disc CD unit, it is located in the trunk of the Taurus. The radio itself (receiver, map and controls) are in the dash just like any other car. If you don't have the multi disc changer, then you won't find anything in the trunk.
