I am planning on putting a new radio in a 2000 LeSabre to replace the oem one. How do i get the dash apart to get the radio out and what do i need to buy besides the install kit (adapter and harness) I know you need an adapter for the steering wheel controlls but ive also heard that you need one to override the old amp or something like that. is that true

you need a wiring harness, antenna adapter, and a mounting kit...metra parts- 70-1858, 99-4544, and 40gm10... its about 60 bucks worth of parts at any car audio shop and the dash removal should be pretty straight forward after a close inspection
