r610 download troubles

ok before you all jump me am a newbe at this. so keep the terms simple. yes i have tried the search but i either did not ask the right questions or do not understand what i am reading. second this crapy phone is not mine. i have a 5610 nokia that is unlocked. this is for a samsung r610 from cricket.

i do not seem to be able to download music or themes or anything else on to the phone.

i have a micro sd card that i download everything on to but the phone does not see anything on the card when i open it. the card looks empty. i can acess everything with my nokia so i know that the info is on the msd.

what am i doing wrong here. i believe the operating system on the r610 is brew.

When I moved my micro sd card from a 6800 to a u740 I had to put the card into my u740 so it would create folders and then take it out and move all the pictures into the folder that it created in order to get it to recognize on the phone. I had to do the same thing when I moved from my u740 to my v3m.

You'll probably have read the card with a computer and see if any folders have been created since you put the card in the phone and then move all the pictures and stuff to those folders.
 
have you formatted the card for the phone? I don't have any experience with this phone personally, but some of the phones need the files in specific folders to be able to recognize them. this is one of the nice things about the nokia is that it is able to browse the filesystem to find the files you want to use.
