Best known as Arnold in Diff'rent' Strokes, the diminutive child actor has passed away from a brain hemorrhage.
I can vividly remember watching Diff'rent Strokes as a kid, it was massively popular at the time, and Coleman was undoubtedley the star.
Yes...the same old lines and the moral preaching of the show did get old very quickly, but for a time Coleman was kind of a household name and loved by everyone.
It's sad that he never really found much work as he got older, he was always destined to be that same cute kid (a kidney disease meant his growth was stunted), and was never really able to do anything else. Sad also that most of his later years were spent in legal battles with his parents for the money he earned when he was famous.
I would kind of like to remember him for that little kid who brightened up my afternoons when coming home from school. At least he can say he made his mark on this earth, and will always be remembered.
