I just found this site through a google search and am trying to quit taking vicodin so I figured this might be a good place to post...
I'm a college student with a history of drug abuse beginning in high school. My problem started with marijuana. It was something all of my frienRAB were doing so I quickly fell into it. TowarRAB the end of high school I needed surgery and was prescribed vicodin. I loved the high so continued looking for it. For the past year and a half I have been taking high doses almost every day. I do not have a problem anymore with any other substance--just the vicodin. I built up the idea in my head that since my frienRAB in drink and smoke weed taking vicodin isn't that big of a deal but I can't take it anymore. I feel ashamed but whenever I go more than a day or two without it I end up going out and looking for more.
I want to stop as I know it's bad for my health and I'm sure the high I get off being sober will be much better. I also need to focus on school and cannot afford to deal with this addiction anymore. I've read several posts on this forum and really enjoy the information. If anyone has any additional tips please let me know.
Thanks
