I got in trouble at work and they called me the next day and told me to come in and speak to them, I panicked thinking I was about to get fired because usually that's the way they fire people, so instead of coming in to speak to them I just never returned for fear of being fired. Now I'm trying to get another job and I can't, I've tried lying on applications and saying that I still work there, I've tried saying I worked in a different job during that time, to better qualify for specific jobs, I've tried saying I quit and I've tried saying I was fired. How should I handle this situation, I'm depressed and not feeling very well about myself at the moment. I also get nervous during interviews... Like today, I had an interview and my mouth got so dry because of nerves that I could barely speak. Any suggestions.
