quit date?

I want to set a specific quit date and tell everyone about it so I can hold myself accountable in some way. Because of my living/work situation, only a couple people in "real" life know about my heroin addiction. I keep telling myself I'm going to quit but then I screw it up. Maybe if I have a plan and tell people on here I'll have more incentive to quit? Kind of pathetic but I'm desperate... will someone on here help me with a quit date and a plan and then ask me how it's going so people know I'm doing it? I'm doing almost 2 grams of heroin a day now and I have 15 8mg subutex pills that I haven't taken yet. I need a time frame here. Help!

I have a big test on Thursday in psychology. Should I wait until then to quit?

1stly - its a great idea to tell people on here about your quit date, im sure there will be lots of people to give you the support and advice you need during the coming weeks (as there was when i quit).
The best thing you could do is get yourself right down from 2grams a day to under half a gram a day before you contemplate taking the subs. 2grams is too high to 'jump off' onto the subs. The lower the ammount of H you take the easier the transition.
This would be the best thing to do before telling anyone about your 'quit date'.
