[h=3]Associated Press[/h]NEW YORK — A new poll finds that City Council Speaker Christine Quinn leads candidates for the Democratic nomination for New York City mayor with 25 percent.
The Quinnipiac (KWIHN'-uh-pee-ak) University poll says former Rep. Anthony Weiner (WEE'-nur) has 15 percent. He officially announced late Tuesday that he's running.
Public Advocate Bill de Blasio (duh-BLAH'-zee-oh) and former Comptroller William Thompson are vying for third place.
Forty-five percent of New York City voters say Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly should run for mayor.
Quinnipiac surveyed 1,082 New York City voters from May 14 through Monday.
The margin of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.
