i recently got a new casio digital camera that takes videos.
but i found out that when i put the videos onto my laptop, the videos are in the Quicktime format and that doesnt work for Windows Media player so i cant edit them.
i want to change the format so that i can edit them on windows media player, but im not sure how.
is there software i can download for free?

I would suggest looking at the book for your camera and seeing if you can change the file type that videos are saved as. I'm pretty sure most camera's will allow you to do this. You'll want to change the format from .mov to .avi I'd suggest. The only problem you'll face then is sizing, as .avi are a lot bigger than .mov, well in my experiences anyway.

Otherwise maybe look at EO Video. They're not free, but they have a 30-day trial version of the software, so you can convert all the videos that you have already taken in .mov format.
