Even at a junkyard, Original equipment radios are obscenely expensive.
It's often cheaper to buy a very nice aftermarket radio than it is to buy a replacement radio just like the one you started with.
If it is really bothering you, I suggest getting an aftermarket radio from a place like http://www.crutchfield.com or you could probably buy the same style radio from eBay.
