So, I'm a 16 year old girl. I was talking with my Dad the other day about how to pay for college and all that. As we were watching TV at the time, an Army commercial came on and they talked about enlisting and then paying for college blah blah blah. So my Dad asked if I wanted to join the military, saying that I wouldn't see battle since I was a girl (Is it really like that? I don't want to go into battle, but still, that's sexist. This isn't the 1800's is it?) and because the Navy doesn't really do anything too dangerous.
So, I was curious... Could someone give me info on the military? I would really love it if they would pay for college, but I also don't want to die. Is there any branch of the military that isn't really physical or dangerous? I guess I'm a wuss, but what can you do? Something involving computers, preferably.
So, could someone explain the different branches and how the whole 'we pay for college' thing works? That'd be great, thanks!
Ugh... It said question deleted too... What the hell!
Sorry for double posting my question.
Yeah, I figured the average woman's physique would be the reason. I just found it strange that we wouldn't be allowed to fight in any battles at all. I'm relatively sure that they let them fight, just maybe not as often as men.
