Questions in taking photography and filming course in college?

Most all creative professions are difficult to get into. However, if nobody ever took a risk there would be no art left, no movie made etc. A lot of artist don't make money and others have the business skills to do just fine.

My advise to you is go for what you love and be smart about it. You need strong business skills. Much of the work artist business have to deal with is marketing,promoting,negotiating,contracts and accounting. Without strong business skills most artist will indeed fail. Choose a school which understand that as many art school do not provide students with that knowledge. Join a Pro photography groups as a student and learn from the pro's. Perhaps you can intern for someone in the summer.

Im actually still 15 but thinking of taking photography and filming . My dad supports me but my mum say its a big risk. You will not earn much money and its not really good . Well im really into filming and i hope i can earn money with it. What are the benefits in taking this course and will i earn a lot of money in filming , how?
