long story short...ruptured a disc in lower back 2 years ago. im fairly certain that i have nerve damage. over the last couple of months, ive had far less leg pain...rarely ever feel it...but the last MRI was done in late feb. and it showed that nothing has changed....nerve was still displaced. i have noticed in the last week that if i twist my right foot to pop it, that i feel the nerve "shock"...HORRIBLY..so does that sound like definite nerve damage??
also.....last thurs night i noticed that BOTH of my legs/ankles swelled up horribly...(knee down to feet)..like i had too much fluid. ive had to keep my legs elevated to get the swelling to go down..and to stay down. if i got up...it would start all over again. on sunday, the swelling seemed to have decreased dramatically.....my right leg (leg affected by disc) still feels thick and swollen...but the swelling in my ankle is no where near like it has been....at least i have an ankle again....lol. is it possible that this is related to the disc problems?? im just not sure if its related and/or if i need to call my dr about it???? most especially since it doesnt seem to be as bad as it has been. im just kinda curious to know if this is related??
