Questions About the Samsung Galaxy S?

I'm thinking about buying a samsung galaxy s (dont convince me otherwise i just want to know the answers to the following questions"

1) Is there a character limit when texting? If so how many characters?
2) Is there an outbox and inbox with text messages? or is it like Black Berry Messenger (like a conversation)
