Questions about the Nokia Twist?

I recently bought the Nokia Twist, but I'm having some minor problems with it. First of all, when i recieve a text on vibrate mode, it vibrates for wayyy longer than neccessary, and won't let me do anything else while it's vibrating. Any way to stop that? Also, it's kinda lagging.

I also heard it breaks fairly quickly- is there ANYONE with this phone who didn't break it? I really wanna know if it's worth keeping.
