Questions about the Ducati Monster 696?

I'm a junior in high school, and have had a ninja 250 for about a year now. The 250 is my first bike, but when I was looking for a first bike I was extremely close to getting a 2006 695. Now I'm looking to upgrade(hopefully by the end of high school) to the 696. I really wanted a ZX-6R, but now it just seems stupid I thought of even getting one. I've heard that naked bikes are cheaper to insure? also would the 696 be a good second bike? I WANT ONE SOOO BAD.

A year's riding isn't a whole lot of experience. I'd recommend riding the Ninja for two years AND 6,000 miles before moving up.

the 696 is a good second bike. Its definitely manageable if you have gained some experience on the 250. Only problem is that it cost a bit to maintain a duc and high school kids will probably screw with and or vandalize that thing. Naked bikes are cheaper only slightly. I would wait till you graduate but if you can do it nobody is stopping you.

I'm not judging the decision to get one but I have no idea of ur riding skill. I'm just sayin ur a junior in high school and u couldn't have to much ride time. If u know u can handle than get one and if not still get one but keep the 250 to ride back and forth while u take the 696 around empty parkin lots practing on it till ur comfortable. I had a buddy pass on a bike in high school he was a junior gonna be a senior. Bikes are great but there are some blind ppl driving everywhere so be safe man
