Questions about student loans, financial aide, required documents and ID?

I live in California, I am from Minnesota. I got my residency here in California now and it is my understanding that if I provide the necessary documents I can go to community college for free here and get loans and aide to help me survive while I am in college. I have disability in my legs, too much for anywhere to hire me, but not enough for disability, so I have a hard time getting any work. I lost all of my past jobs because of my legs and the employer didn't care because I didn't have any papers saying I am disabled. But ANYWAY

All I have for paperwork and ID at the moment is my social security card, my high school diploma, and my w2 paper from my last job which fired me after two months a year ago. I barely made $1500 last year and so I didn't do my taxes. My parents won't help me with any of the papers I need because they are mad at me for moving out here. But I couldn't handle the drama at home while I went to college, I almost failed high school because of all the stress at home.

I have contacted my high school to see if they can send my file to me and hopefully some of those papers may help. I have also requested a copy of my senior ID, because I need a picture ID to get my birth certificate application notarized, and then i can get state ID. But what I am wondering is is what I have enough for the financial aide and loans? If not, what can I do to get what I need? Has anyone here been in the same boat as me and been able to get this all worked out?

I have no choice but to go to college. I can't make it right now just working, and I can't even work right now. I can probably get a part time job to help me out after I am in school, I know the school has things to help students find jobs. But for now I am really counting on getting to college, doing my best, getting some loans to help me pay rent and also maybe some financial aide.

Please help if you can! Thanks!
