I need to write a short essay in my history course for the take home final and its taking me forever to get this specific part done, probably because I really don't understand most of it. So any help would be much appreciated. I'm supposed to write a one page essay on the following questions:
Why and how did American politics in the era of the Constitution revolve around "virtue"? Why were "interest" "party" and "faction" seen as political evils? Obviously, we see politics very differently, yet we still follow the Constitution. How is this possible? How can we have changed so much yet still see ourselves as following the principles of the American Revolution?
