Questions about Gyms?

Ok so first of all, no stupid comments, jokes or crap like that, I don't care, I just have a few questions about Gyms - I used to be fat 2 years back or so, now I'm just thick/also curvy with some extra padding & need to lose 25-30 or so more lbs' as I've lost over 60. I look good now but REALLY want & need to tone more. I'm thinking of joining a Gym but don't know where to start as I've never tried a Gym. I exercise at home but find I get bored & distracted easily with at-home exercise so I stop & start again - I know the Gym would motivate me more especially if its one where they help with progress & help you reach goals.

I have many goals & I hope to get into magazine-modelling once I've lost the rest of the weight & toned up. I also have more revealing clothes put away for when I've lost it & I love to be glamorous & show-off - the extra flab is the bain of my existance.

I'm training to be in the Beauty industry as well & it is a definite thing that I need to lose this. SO, what I need to know is: what is the best way to go about this to reach my goals? I'm 5'5' and I want to be 125, (no more then 130 lbs', but preferribly less). I want to have a flat tummy, toned arms, a toned slender back & toned thighs/legs too. Also more shoulder definition. Money is my biggest obstacle as well, so I can't afford any expensive personal trainers & I want to do this the most simple way as possible - I'm an impatient person, (admitted) and I'm also busy, but I realize it needs to be something I incorporate into every week. I eat healthy most of the time, and drink water as the 'bulk' of my liquids except for weekends, so my diet is relatively good.

Any ideas? Thanks!
