I really have no clue about how to go about flashing a phone. I do know that I would like to buy a verizon phone and would like either t-mobile or cricket service. now can I flash any phone, and where do I go. About how much does it cost and will t-mobile do it or will cricket? I just want to make sure before I buy 3 expensive phones for the family that I can have them flashed. Does it cause problems with the new service. any help would be great. I really want the verizon phones but they are asking a 1200.00 deposit and that will never happen lol! We need 3 lines of service and I guess our credit sucks so I would like cricket or t-mobile's flexpay.
Thanks

When it comes to "flashing" your phone, that term typically means that you are trying to unlock a phone that is locked and you forgot the password, or trying to push updated software into the phone that was not able to process "over the air". If you are planning on going with T-Mobile, then you would have to use their phones because Verizon is not GSM, meaning they do not use a Sim card as T-Mobile does. I know nothing about Crickett but if you are looking to open three lines of service and do not want that deposit then T-Mobile is the best way to go. I know because I have T-Mobile with the flex plan and it is great. They have a $99.99 plan that includes unlimited minutes and is possible to get three different lines on that. T-Mobile kicks a lot of money off the phones. I have the G1 and that is retailed at $399.99 and I got it through the flex plan for like $179.99. Try not to waste money on something that will not work and trying to "flash" a phone is not going to make it compatible if the networks are not even similar. Hope that helps.
