I want to return to school. I'm a mother of two, and have been out of school for about 7 yrs. I've always had a passion for art, and I've wanted to be a high school art teacher for a very long time. Does anyone have info about becoming an art teacher? I think you have to have your bachelors and the teaching certificate, but is that different in NY state? If I get my associates in fine arts, can I major in art education for my bachelors and still be okay? Do you do internship w a teacher, and if so how long? Any info here will be appreciated.
