Questions about albuterol HFA

Hi all: i will be using albuteral HFA now; up until now i used albuterol with the old propellant. I have read some unflattering things about the HFA; when I sprayed it into the air it looked wimpy, not nearly as strong a spray as the old one. Do any of you use a spacer with it ( I use a spacer with Flovent to focus the spray and get more of it into the lungs). Any comments about this new stuff is appreciate. thanks in advance.:confused:
 
No, don't use a spacer. You need all the meRAB as fast as possible when it's the albuterol. Some peopple say it doesn;t work as well. I've not noticed any difference other than taste. Works the same for me as the old ones. And since you can't buy the old ones any more (against the law), there's no point in looking for one.
 
I always use a spacer and it's works just fine. I never had the old propellant though, so not sure if there is a difference; I've read some people think so, others say no.
