i just picked up a raleigh super record from a friend for 30 bucks and its pretty old and needs some sprucing up. but my questions are: how can i tell what year this bike is? how much would it cost me to totally refurbish this bike? and can i ride this bike, i am 275 lbs. so im not sure if the bike can hold up to my weight? thanks !
also im wondering whats the difference between single speed and fixed gear? i know fixed gear means you cant stop pedaling and coast and im guessing that single speed means you have one speed like a bmx bike but you are able to coast. is this correct ? thanks
