Civil War? Southerners simply? wanted to live amongst themselves (and still do) and really do not care for the North or the rest of the states. In fact, as a non-American I have never seen more Americans who are actually proud of their roots and heritage than Southerners.
if the South wanted to separate TODAY, why would the federal government care?
