I've had my golfish since June of last year. I changed his bowl about a month ago to a bigger one and it seemed just fine. But about 2 days ago I noticed my goldfish began to develop black spots around its mouth and body. I figured it was just normal, but today I noticed it stays fairly low in its bowl. Before it use to hang around towards the top or middle, but as of today it's staying in the bottom. I changed its water about 15-minutes ago and still it's staying in the bottom refusing to move unless I lightly tap the bowl, and even then it hardly moves. It is however alive, that's for sure. I don't know much about fish, since this is the first one I've owned. Does anyone have any information as to why this is happening?

I forgot to add it's not a fancy goldfish, just a common one my nephew gave me from a fair.
I did not purchase this fish. Like I said, I was given the fish and wasn't going to throw it away. Next time, I will do more research. For now, I simply need help with my current situation, not criticism on what is already done. Thanks anyway.
