My Grandfather recently died. He had 2 daughters only, one my mum and the other my auntie. My grandmother is deceased as well as my mum who both died back in the 90's. Yesterday we found out that my grandfather left his estate worth €600,000 to my auntie and for my mum, my siblings and I got €300 each. In other words my auntie was left €600,000 and my mum €1200. My siblings and I are so very very dissapointed with this and find it very insulting to be honest. The funny thing was we were all pretty close to my Grandad.
I wanted to find out if there are any people out that that could advise if they think we could contest this will?
Also, I read that a child can contest the will if they feel that their parents divided the inheritance up in a very unfair way to one of their children, with this in mind does anyone know if my siblings and I can contest this will on behalf of our mother?
Thanks in advance for your help.
