I have been a proud owner of a Panasonic SA-HT520 Home Cinema System for a few months now. Not only have I played Region 2 PAL discs, but I have also played Region 1 NTSC discs too.

What I don't understand, is the player won't play Region 3 (or even Region 1 discs marketed in Asia!). I was under the false impression that my system was region free and would play anything. Have I been duped and if so, is there anything I can do to save the day?

On the back of the dvd, what symbol does it show?. If there is a 2 in the box its for the UK only.

Did you get instructions to press a few keys on the remote to make it multiregional?.

Where was the unit bought from?. [Currys/Dixons dont sell multiregional units on the whole. Not sure about Comet. Richer sounRAB normally gives you the choice. Region 2 or Multiregion with a higher price]
