Question on the iPhone data plan?

its 30 dollars data per a phone
and you can do the family unlimited text plan
unsure of the cost since my work takes care of my bill

data plan doesnt cover texting
 
So, I already have the unlimited messaging plan on my phone. I am on a family plan. What would be the cost for getting an iPhone? I still want the unlimited messaging plan, and I still plan on being on the family plan.

Does the iPhone data plan cover talking on the phone, the 3G wifi/internet and texting?
