question on the i730

on the in coming calls does the number show up on the front of the phone? And can I set diff. ringing tones to diff. contacts? Sorry I am new with nextel and I trying to find a good phone that I will like. Also the i730 a good phone?

its a good phone, i had one for awhile and had good luck with it. yes you can assign a differnt ringtone to every contact and it does show caller id on the external screen!

I have an i730 but I can't personalize my ringtones to certain contacts. Could you help me out?

go to menu scroll to ringtone, then scroll to the ringtones that you like to assign when on that tab press menu again it will give a list like contac, net mail, message phone 1 etc, press contac select who you want to assign the ringtone press ok and you're done..

Maybe But this way is easier:
Select your contact Mr Smith, select edit, select ringer and choose away, select done ,and stick a fork in it.
Edit: The number or name does show on the front of the phone.

the i730 is a good phone, i've had one for over a year and must've dropped it at least 20 times and the thing is still in one piece.
