Should I still buy Ford stock? I know I have missed the opportunity of making big money on Ford stock and it seems high at this moment. If the economy turns around sooner rather than later, people will begin buying more cars and I believe Ford will get the most business because of the future car line up and the fact that they didn't take any government money. I think GM and Chrysler have really alienated themselves and Ford will be the company to come out on top. So really my question is where is the ceiling for Ford stock could it still double and even quadruple if sales and the economy go right?

I really like the Ford stock, but I am not a big fan of the stock at its current price. Yes, Toyota has opened the door a little bit for Ford, but Toyota's sales and cash flow are extremely strong and the market loves those shares. Toyota stock is getting hit hard lately, but that will just provide a better entry point for investors..A few positive earning reports from Toyota and not recall notices will make investors forget about Toyota's struggles. Positive money fixes everything, and Ford doesn't have that right now. Yes historically Ford is low right now, but the current price is as high as the stock has been over the last few years. Again good stock, just not crazy about the entry point on the stock right now

I purchased Ford last March for $6 and change. It's always hard to tell when is the right time to buy. If you look at historical prices, Ford is low. Given the long-term costs of retirees' healthcare, investors are still unsure of the future of Ford. Toyota's current problems has given American automakers a little boost and Ford has been gaining valuable press coverage, including top awards from Road & Track and Car & Driver. Their future seems bright to me. If I had spare cash, I would buy more.
