I live in Woodland Hills, CA, in the hills. The house is built on the side of a hill. There is an 1/2 acre land in the backyard that I would like to use to build a small guest house (1 living room, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath). I was wondering how much it would cost to build this house and if it'd be permitted in my area. If anyone has any ideas and can share the same, I would greatly appreciate it as I have no knowledge at all of building guest houses and don't know where to start looking.
