I wan't to get a Motorola Q, (from ebay) it's an older PDA smartphone, and does not require a data plan (althought you can get one) I currently have a non-smart phone that requires a $10/month data plan. Without a data plan you're not able to receive picture/video messages, or of have ANY web acesss (or you pay per mb, which can really add up)
My question here is: Can I get a motorola Q- "MOTO Q" (as it's named)- and just keep my $10/month data plan that I have now. Because my small data plan is plenty for me, I mostly just text, and use the web rarely. I don't want to have to pay $29/month for a data plan that I wont need.
Also: Does anyone have anything to say about the Moto Q - good/bad/otherwise? Is it a decent phone? I've read it's a good idea to have a memory card with it, because it doesn't have a lot of space? Is there another smart phone that doesn't require a data plan that you would recommend in place of the MOTO Q? (i really like the look/software of smart phones, and their organizational tools.)
Thanks! :]
Okay - to the first person who answered- you didnt help, at all. lol sorry.
I am a verizon costumer already, I know how it works, I understand that it's CDMA I understand the perks and downfalls of this type of network, and also, i've done research on verizons website and found that older PDA phones such as the MOTO Q do not require the $29/month data plan that newer smartphones/blackberries require. Also: the phone I am looking at is not used, it is brand new. it's advertised as brand new, i've looked into and contacted the seller, 100% satisfaction from all buyers, no false advertising.
The reason i've been looking on e-bay is because I cracked the screen of my Samsung Rogue, it still works fine, however I'm one of those people who just doesn't like a cracked screen. I have the phone insured, but it'd be $50 to get a refurb (they no longer make the Rogue for verizon) I've had an awful time with refurbs in the past (they're never very good) and in order to get one, you have to send
