Question for those who have had 3D

ultrasound? Im getting one on wednesday. a non diagnositic one.

Ill be close to 28 weeks.

Is this an ok time? its really the only time I can possibly get it due to other commitments. will it turn out ok?

Also any experiences would be great :) thanks
 
28 weeks should be a great time! I had mine done at 25 weeks and it was a great experience for us and so worth it!
 
I haven't had mine yet, but I'm scheduled for one in April. Mine will be at 31 weeks because they say that is the BEST time to get it. They recomend between 27 and 35 weeks though, so you are right in that time frame. Just remember, your baby isn't going to be as well defined because he/she will be on the small side. Do make sure that you start overloading on your water now though! The more hydrated you are the clearer your pictures will be. You want to make sure that you have the best experiance possible!


Edit: Just thought I'd correct the person below me... a 3D ultrasound can be in color. 4D means the addition of time. Most elective ultrasounds are both 3D/4D because the still frames are 3D but watching the movement is 4D.

they say the best time is between 27 and 30 weeks the baby is chubby enough and his features are developed enough, but he isnt so cramped that he starting to look smooshed in there..
