I realize there are a lot of questions here that are asked far too often, and users should instead try using the search bar.
However, why is it that people that still answer these questions receive thumbs down?
For instance, the infamous color splash question is one I have a set cut and paste answer to. Any time I answer those questions, I receive 4 or 5 thumbs down -- even though my answer is accurate.
Why do you think people give thumbs down for accurate answers simply because they don't like the question?
Isn't it a little immature?
But, Mere Mortal, four or five?
I'll end up with four or five thumbs down while people that just say "Use the search bar" or make a snide comment, etc., get four or five thumbs up.
While I don't necessarily disagree with their comments, I don't understand why people will give thumbs down to me but not to others who don't even try to answer the question.
I would bet you money -- and give you a personal guarantee -- that not answering it is not a way to make it go away.
Your premise is illogical in all the worst ways.
As for "EVERYONE," if "EVERYONE" is sick of them, why are you the person that complains about it the most, and beyond that, why have I seen many people that are not tired of it and still attempt to answer?
I'm one person and I'm not, so clearly, "EVERYONE" is not sick of it.
Gateway -- when did I say you're the only one that hates it? I said you're the one that complains about it the most. I never once said that you're the only one that dislikes how often it is asked.
