I love photography, and I want to be a professional photographer. I just need help getting started. How did you start out? I am really really dying to get published, even if I'm not payed for it. All of my friends and family (they are so great:) Keep encouraging me and telling me how awesome my work is. They really think I should get published and stuff. I am tired of entering online contests, because they just end to be scams. Any ideas to get out there?? I would love any help from people who have success. It's hard since I am only in high school still. I am really serious about this though and I love photography sooo much. I'd love to get published or payed.

I started with the New York Institute of Photography. They send you all your lesson plans with tapes and CDs in the mail, you can do it at your pace at home. They cover every aspect of photography you can think of, and a good way to become professional is to have that graduation certificate to prove you've had training, on top of a portfolio. They also give you different ways to begin your career or studio. I recommend it, it's only $45 a month.
