If an assailant has a weapon...and the potential victim manages to get in control of it, and uses it against the assailant, to what degree is it still "self defense"? ( I am aware that deadly force is not allowed if the assailant is not reasonably posing a deadly threat)
What if the weapon itself is not legal for anyone to posess, in particular?
If I manage to disarm a guy with a butterfly knife/stilletto/knuckleduster, am I risking my OWN life and freedom when the cops show up if I use it against him?
BEFORE the police show up, I mean.
