My wife has taught at a class d school in rural Michigan for ten years.
With the current state of the economy, some of the teachers have been laid off.
So now, my wife has five different classes to prepare for each day.
She teaches English to 8th, 9th, and 12th grades, as well as Spanish I and II.
School has only been in session now for a few weeks, and she is just fried by the end of the day/week.
My wife has very high standards for her self and her students, and she feels like she is working extremely hard, and still letting her students down.
Here are my questions.
Is there a recommended maximum number of preps per day?
Is it common to have this many preps per day in a small school?
Do you have any advise for her?
Thanks so much for your insight.
