I have a 2002 Rendezvous.....my question is about the temperature gauge. It does not have the degree's listed for how hot it is, just Cold...3 lines....and Hot. I need to know if anyone has noticed on their Rendezvous when the fan cuts on....meaning, where does the needle rest when you hear it cut on? Mine goes past half way, I've had it checked out, and I'm told "everything is fine". I'm afraid I am going to overheat. The only time I hear the fan cut on is when the air conditioner is running. Can anyone pls help me figure this out?

I sympathize with your very good concern. You would think if they bothered to put a temperature gage on the dash it should have numbers on it and I totally agree with you!

I think I know how you can put your mind to rest A company called Mr. Gasket sells radiator pressure caps with a temperature readout of the coolant inside your radiator. How slick is that! They can be purchased through: summitracing.com The part # is: MRG-2471R

By looking at the top of your new radiator cap you'll be able to joy down the temperature of the coolant inside and make a mental note of what the "mystery needle" on the dash reads. You'll also be able to match up the temperature when your electrical cooling fans switch on!

I think I've talked myself into one of these!! I have a worthless Winter beater Ford with a mystery mark idiot temperature gage.
